What I like about Randy Payne’s work as a designer is that it comfortably balances several desirable extremes. He’s a recent graduate, yet he has been designing and art directing his own projects for several years. He is passionately committed to his own ideas and follows through with them forcefully, but he is also a sensitive collaborator who knows when and how to follow the lead of others, and learn from it. He has an excellent eye and a solid sense of good design on a gut level, yet he also knows how to approach design problems with a methodology and to apply his knowledge of design history. He reveres simplicity yet is also detail-oriented and motivated enough to pull an idea through the minutest features of a design.
Randy is versatile, intelligent, fun to work with and he loves his work. Get to know him and you will not be disappointed.
